Bad News

What is this game really all about?

The game was more about spreading fake news at a rapid rate and trying to make more people believe what you are saying even if it isn't true.

Is it realistic or unrealistic?

I think it is realistic because it happens all the time. Someone tweets something or makes a fake account and viewers are bound to believe it because they assume the person tweeting it or spreading the news is credible, when more often than not they are not credible.

What did you learn from playing the game?

I learned that it doesn't take a lot for a tweet or an article that isn't fact checked to blow up and spread very quickly.

What did you like about the game?

I like that it was interactive and still used your perspective (right-winged or left-winged).

What did you dislike?

I disliked how you could use one persons sweet and completely alter it to fit something you wanted to spread or complain about to a mass amount of people.

What did you notice about yourself as a player?

I noticed that I didn't want to keep spreading something I knew was a lie and appealing to peoples emotions can strongly affect the way that they feel.

How has this game affected your understanding of misinformation, disinformation and fake news?

I understand that not everything you see on social media is true. Whether that be Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or other forms of social media it is almost better to assume it is misinformation, disinformation, and fake news than it is to assume the articles, memes, and tweets are stating facts.
